Meditation Instruction

Tune in.

Palms press together at the heart center. With eyes closed, gaze at the brow point.

Chant:

Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo (3x)

(This sound current calls upon the wisdom you hold within and opens the alchemical practice container).

Part 1.

Hands come together with thumb tips touching, enough pressure to bend the thumbs like swans. The rest of the fingers bend to make fists with fingertips pressing into the finger mounds. Bring the hands to level of the brow point with the palms facing away from you.

Gaze comes up into the brow point with eyes closed.

Long deep breathing.

Continue 3 minutes.

Part 2.

Index fingers extend to touch. Thumb tips continue to touch but form a straight line. The hands form a triangle and come to the level of the heart. The mudra is held a few inches away from the body.

Gaze comes down to the chin with eyes still closed.

Focus your awareness on the heart center. Long deep breathing.

Continue 5 minutes.

Part 3.

Hands come into shunya mudra — middle fingers bend to meet the mounds of the thumb. Thumb wraps around the middle finger to hold it down. The rest of the fingers extend out, relaxed. Palms turn to face upward. Hands rest on the knees or thighs.

Open through the heart space. Relax the gaze (with eyes still closed).

Continue long deep breathing here. Continue to rest your awareness at the heart center.

Continue 3 minutes.

Tune Out.

Sat Nam

(This sound current closes the practice with the vibration of truth as identity — the truth of absolute reality beyond the senses ).
